[U20] Buzzer-Beat Basket Lifts JB Paragon to Victory
(Banting) Johor Bahru Grand Paragon overcame their slow start to defeat home team, Kuala Langat Basketball Association 58-56 in the men’s final of the Malaysia Under-20 Basketball Championship 2013 Tan Peng Son Cup at Kuala Langat Basketball Association Hall.
It was a very sluggish start as both teams did little damage to the scoreboard. With both teams scoring only single digit points in the first quarter, Kuala Langat BA led 9-6 and 22-15 by the end of the second quarter.
[U20] KL Hong Wei Clinch Title After An Amazing Third Quarter
(Banting) Kuala Lumpur Hong Wei’s remarkable third quarter 19-1 run in the women’s final gave them the victory over Segamat BA in the Malaysia Under-20 Basketball Championship Tan Peng Son Cup at the Kuala Langat Basketball Association Hall today.
Kuala Lumpur Hong Wei had the slower start as Segamat worked their three-point magic to take the commanding first quarter 20-10 lead. They rallied hard to cut their 10-point deficit but were not successful as the continued to trail 30-23 at halftime.
